Huge Silly Tortoise Grabbing Mangoes Off the Tree Is Totally Living His Best Life
Tortoises do not get enough love, and as someone who has one, I can say that for certain. They are so funny, they're sweet, and they're so cool! They're like little guys with houses built right into their bodies, and they're very messy eaters, too.

Recently, someone posted a video of a tortoise who was absolutely living the dream. He managed to find a fully-stocked mango tree, and he went to town! For a tortoise, this is like, the ideal situation. They look like good mangoes, too:

According to @adnan_baijan, this is a pet tortoise, and the tree is in their backyard. That's really good news for this tortoise, and probably why there aren't very many mangoes left!

We don't know his name or anything, but we do know that he's huge, he has a nice backyard, and he gets to eat mangoes straight from the tree. He misses his shot in this video, but that's for the best.

Those mangoes are really small, so they're definitely not ripe yet. They won't taste very nice: I love mangoes, but an unripe mango is genuinely enough to ruin my entire day. I'm glad that wasn't the case for him.

When they're ripe, though? He's probably setting up camp right under the tree, waiting for them to fall. I'd do the same!

Mangoes are a Great Treat For Tortoises

Tortoises can eat a lot more than you might think. When we have them in our homes, they tend to have a fairly limited diet, mostly because they're picky!

However, adding variety is also important, and mango is a great way to do that. For some tortoises, this tropical treat might even be part of their diet in the wild.

The only thing to keep in mind is that mango is high in sugar, as most fruits are, and should be fed sparingly. Too much fruit of any kind can contribute to obesity over time.
